BUPA International is teaming up with Spanish healthcare subsidiary Sanitas to offer a worldwide healthcare product.
The policy, called Sanitas Exterior, is aimed at Spanish workers and their families working outside Spain and provides cover for hospital treatment and accommodation. The maximum cover available is £750,000 per person.
Cover for outpatient charges is included along with cover for charges such as emergency road ambulance, family doctor fees and emergency dental cover. There is also an option for maternity cover.
David Evans, project development manager at BUPA International, said: "The objective of the partnership is to develop a product for Spanish nationals who live and work abroad. There are an increasing number of mobile employees due to the continuing investment by Spanish companies overseas.
"Sanitas has established the strongest brand awareness for health insurance in Spain. Working together with the expertise of BUPA International represents a logical and potentially beneficial partnership."
