Marlborough Stirling has enhanced its term quote service, Exweb. The aim is to make the quote input easier and to speed up the time it takes to get quote results, writes Angela Faherty.
The requote options have also been improved. The company hopes the developments will help to link the service seamlessly into the company's new online initiative.
Enhancements include the introduction of an apply button to the comparative quote table, which enables IFAs to transact business electronically earlier in the process and link directly from the table to the electronic application form. The 'quote aids' facility provides users with a list of providers offering e-products and any enhanced terms they may offer.
Advisers using the service will have the ability to re-use client data for another quote without returning to the main menu. They can also link to the provider's extranet site and tailor comparison prints by choosing whether to print off the commission column and the comparison notes.
Ian Noble, portal operations manager at Marlborough Stirling, said the changes would mean significant improvements for advisers. 'These changes have been shaped with input from our own customer care team, IFA users and product providers. We want to make the user experience as rewarding as possible, while making it easier for them to use the latest e-commerce functions such as our new business processing service.'
