Royal Liver is preparing to launch a virtual underwriter service early this month following the setup of its new adviser extranet at the end of October.
The service is designed to help advisers who are unsure of what the underwriting process will involve. Advisers can key in general questions and a video link will appear detailing the answer to the question. The Royal Liver team will be able to review the questions being asked in order to modify the guide to ensure that the service meets advisers' expectations. Advisers will also be able to rate the relevance of the answers provided.
The launch of this new service is part of a wider strategy that included a redesign of its logo. It followed the relaunch of the firm's extranet, which has been designed with new and existing members in mind.
Specific things advisers wanted included a brighter design, clearer help for first-time users, more guidance on how online and tele-underwriting works and increased level of educational information.
