Norwich Union launched a new Protection Service Promise last month, which, it said, underlined its commitment to service levels for all new business protection applications.
According to the provider, the promise will include a new pre-sales helpdesk providing underwriting help, advice and free cover for up to three months on a fully completed application for term assurance and mortgage life insurance. It also claimed that it will make sure all decisions are made within two days of receipt of an accurate and complete application unless underwriting is involved. Where cover cannot be offered, an underwriter will contact the adviser to explain why.
