A record 16 financial services companies have achieved Gold Standard Awards, presented at the House of Commons on 25 November.
The awards, run by Incisive Media, assess companies' performance across the elements of trust, value, financial strength, service and their capability to conduct business well. Only 64 Gold Standards have been awarded in the awards' six-year history.
Friends Provident took a Gold Standard for protection, while Standard Life Healthcare was the sole winner in the healthcare category. Fortis UK became the first ever winner of a Gold Standard for insurance. Five companies flew the flag for independent financial advice: Capital Asset Management; Clarity; Informed Choice; Investment Quorum; and Torquil Clark.
Blackrock; F&C Asset Management; Gartmore Investment Management; and JPMorgan Asset Management were awarded a Gold Standard for fund management:
Scottish Widows and Friends Provident were winners in the pensions category.
