Millfield becomes largest UK fees planning specialist

Millfield Partnership has launched a care fees planning service with an IFA training programme. Endorsed by Age Concern Financial Partnerships, the service makes the company the largest fees planning specialist in the country. Neil Stevens, marketing director, said: 'We have made a commitment to the market and the Age Concern endorsement of our IFA training underlines our ambition to be the preferred choice provider of care fees planning and advice.'

Nicholson takes temporary IFA Promotion position

Roy Nicholson, chairman of Advice First, will take on temporary duties as chairman of IFA Promotion, following the departure of Kevin McBrien who has stepped down from the role. He will co-ordinate the appointment of a permanent replacement.

Website renovated by L&G

Legal & General (L&G) has overhauled its IFA Centre extranet by simplifying navigation and introducing a tiered approach. Product information is now located at the front of the site. Logging on is only necessary for accessing client-specific information, such as quotes or applications.

Recognising mental ill health is gaining on musculo-skeletal problems as the leading cause of long-term absenteeism, Swiss Life has sponsored a handbook from the Royal College of Psychiatrists ' Work and Mental Health ' An Employ-er's Guide. Aimed at employers, occupational health specialists and human resources departments, the book gives guidelines on employers' responsibilities in this area.

Sales promotion from AXA

AXA PPP healthcare is running a sales incentive promotion for IFAs. For each underwritten individual business application received before 31 December 2002, AXA PPP will send IFAs £100 of Marks & Spencer vouchers once two months' premiums have been collected.

Britannic RS appoints employee benefits adviser

Independent actuaries and employee benefit providers, Gissings, has been appointed by Britannic Retirement Solutions as the adviser to its employee benefits. Bob Bullivant, corporate development director, said: 'We exceeded our expectations for growth in the first two years by over 100% and examined our own staff benefits to reflect this.'
