Research from Norwich Union Healthcare (NUH) has shown almost 70% of Britons expect a cure for all types of cancer within the next 20 years. Participants of the study also anticipate cures for Parkinson's disease, arthritis and heart disease.
Dr Doug Wright, clinical development manger at NU Healthcare, said: 'It seems people are optimistic about the future of their health in the hands of the NHS.'
