Assureweb has launched a new portal to allow protection advisers to access life assurance, critical illness and income protection products in one place.
Assureweb Protection allows intermediaries to directly compare quotes and take advantage of the enhanced commission and improved premiums offered by submitting business online. The service is free of charge for protection advisers.
A more advanced version of the service, Assureweb Protection Plus, has also been launched, specifically aimed at larger firms with bespoke requirements. It permits users to personalise the portal to their own specific needs. The option is especially applicable for intermediaries who have a preferred panel of providers for quotes and new business.
Although the plan has a flexible fee system, users who commit to using Protection Plus and write a certain volume of business through the portal, may access the service for free.
Commenting on the launch of the new service, Stephen Wynne-Jones, portal product manager at Assureweb, said: "With general insurance regulation on the horizon, protection specialists need access to the full range of illustrations from providers. Assureweb is happy to be the only portal that offers this service free of charge."
