Groupama Insurances will be launching its healthcare operation, Groupama Healthcare, within the next six months, it has been revealed.
Following the completion of extensive market research on what insurance intermediaries want from a new business, the provider has announced that the complete launch of its healthcare operation will take place by the end of Q2 2005, with some features of the business being available from Q1.
The focus of Groupama Healthcare, which is targeting the SME sector, will be on offering a bespoke service and not product innovation, said the firm's distribution and customer service director, Amanda Blanc. She added that the decision was reached after receiving advice from a number of brokers.
"In terms of product design, we were advised that we should not be too adventurous. Our products will therefore be in line with the rest of the market," she said. "Instead we have decided to focus on service as this is where most of the brokers felt that companies have let them down."
Blanc added that she hoped technology will play an important part in the service being offered. "Technology can be a valuable differentiator enabling a company to work smarter and more efficiently with our intermediary partners," she said.
