The Bupa Dental Health Plan has now been rolled out to SME customers after previously only being made available to large corporates and individual policies.

The plan, will cover routine dental care carried out at Bupa Dental Centres, such as check-ups, scale and polish appointments and any necessary x-rays.

All routine care is directly settled in full at the centre, so there are no claim forms to complete.

The Bupa Dental Health Plan also provides discounts for for general dental treatment such as crowns, bridges and veneers and tooth whitening.

It includes worldwide emergency dental treatment, oral cancer cover, no underwriting or pre-enrolment checks and access to the Bupa HealthLine.

In 2012 Bupa set out plans to strenghten their business to become one of the largest private dentistry providers in the UK by 2015.

The insurer now has nine Bupa Dental Centres in locations including Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield and London.

Tony Wood, sales director at Bupa Health Funding said: "Dental cover is a highly valued employee benefit and the Bupa Dental Health Plan has been popular with corporate and individual customers so far.

"The plan is great value for the level of cover provided, with the excellent quality of care you would expect from Bupa, and can complement existing employee benefits packages."
