Bright Grey has reduced its life and critical illness (CI) cover rates. Male clients seeking level or decreasing cover are set to see the biggest cuts, with a non-smoker, aged 40 on a 20-year term decreasing life cover of £200,000 paying £17.50 - a saving of £1.78 a month. The reductions come despite speculation that regulation may prove to have a negative impact on protection rates. Meanwhile, Norwich Union has also slashed protection rates with life premiums dropping by an average of 3% since the beginning of January.
