Cash plan provider, the Hospital Saturday Fund (HSF), is offering policyholders £850 towards the cost of laser eye treatment to correct vision. The option is available on seven of the nine schemes offered by HSF and is in response to increased demand.

Keith Bradley, chief executive at the Hospital Saturday Fund, said: 'Laser eye treatment is something which people are beginning to consider. We decided to offer this option in response to trends. A number of medical journals have said more people are offering this type of treatment and a number of our contributors have asked us to include it.'

Laser eye treatment subsidies are just one of the changes to HSF's cash plans. More helplines are now available and policyholders also now have the ability to source private treatment through a link-up with Go Private.
