COVER has teamed up with Norwich Union (NU) to launch the third issue of Healthy Wealthy and Wise. Entitled For the life you deserve after work, the magazine aims to help IFAs' clients gain a better understanding of retirement planning, while promoting the value of independent advice.
The launch coincides with NU's decision to package a range of products for the retirement market into one proposition, with the intention of providing a comprehensive option for people who are looking to finance their retirement.
According to NU, retirement is not just about pension planning and to reflect this the package includes annuities, income drawdown, equity release, long term care, investment products, inheritance tax planning and pension provision.
The proposition is to be introduced to IFAs during a series of NU-hosted seminars running from the end of October until Christmas.
Sandy Johnstone, NU's retirement/protection strategy manager, said: 'Our message to IFAs is that there needs to be a more holistic approach to dealing with the over 50s, as they are growing in number and they are increasingly the area where wealth lies.'
