Men less likely to protect mortgage

Men proved to be the riskier of the two sexes when it comes to taking out insurance to cover mortgage payments, according to research published by Sesame. Men were nearly three times more likely than women to wing it when it came to insurance - 37% and 12% respectively. While half of the women said they had taken out some insurance to protect the mortgage, only 37% of men said they had done the same.
