The Association of Independent Financial Advisers (Aifa) has launched a new service for retired IFAs that will keep them informed about their liabilities for advice given in the past. The service will distribute fact-sheets on complaints and regulatory processes, protecting personal assets in the event of complaints, and the post-retirement working of the Financial Services Authority and the Financial Ombudsman Service. Other facilities will include a helpline, a referral service for specialist advice, attendance at events and access to Aifa's viewpoint on succession planning.
