AXA PPP healthcare has written to intermediaries to notify them of the launch of its new individual medical insurance menu specially designed to meet the needs of the self-employed.
The plan, Independent Health Cover, provides a range of features, benefits and options including discounted premium rates, which are priced in single-year age bands.
The menu product offers a range of medical insurance options including outpatient treatment, psychiatric cover and voluntary excess levels. As an additional benefit, policyholders are provided with access to a number of business support services such as a personal business assistance service and a legal advice help line. Intermediaries offering the plan can earn up to 40% initial and 5% renewal commission.
In the letter, Chris Horlick, sales and marketing director at AXA PPP healthcare, said: "The self-employed market represents a major opportunity for the provision of tailored health insurance products and services. "
