CI: Partnership launch with care advisory service
Scottish Equitable Employee Benefits has announced a new partnership with care advisory service Red Arc. The collaboration took effect from 1 October and will initially only be available alongside Scottish Equitable's group critical illness (CI) products.
Red Arc will be offered to 15 key accounts and to all existing and new group CI customers. The second phase of the launch, planned for January 2006, will see the service offered to the whole of the market.
Red Arc, which specialises in providing practical and emotional support in the event of disability or a critical illness, will not restrict the service to just the life insured, but also to immediate family members. The service is designed to complement any NHS or private treatment a claimant receives and can range from extra physiotherapy to counselling and other rehabilitative services.
"When someone suffers a critical illness they are looking for advice, support and someone to help them through this difficult time. That is what Red Arc does and we're delighted to offer this service alongside our critical illness products. Providing this free benefit, in addition to a financial payout, is the right thing to do," said Simon Bailey, head of marketing at Scottish Equitable Employee Benefits.
