Over half a billion pounds in UK protection claims paid in total
Royal London paid out over £517m (99.1%) worth of claims in 2017, its published claims statistics revealed today. Nearly £175m was paid in life and terminal illness claims, which amounted to 97.3% of term life insurance claims paid, with an average of nearly £113,000 per claim.
