A new company designed to educate and improve IFA skills has launched with a host of UK protection sales workshops scheduled for early next year.
Training Strategies, headed by Phil Calvert, formerly of Zurich Life, aims to target IFAs who want to move into the protection market, but need help in doing so.
Phil Calvert said: 'In a 1% world, margins will be increasingly challenged, so many providers and IFAs are looking for innovative ways to take advantage of the opportunities provided by the protection market.'
Seminars will be held in the new year, but training is offered as required, either in-house, or through product provider sponsors.
The roadshows will incur no costs whereas presentation skill workshops will be levied depending on the number of IFAs training.
'Not only will Training Strategies help IFAs get to grips with this market, but we expect providers to see the benefits of helping their broker consultants to build their protection sales skills,' said Calvert.
