New top-up cover to pay for cancer care not on NHS

WPA has launched a top-up insurance that provides cover for cancer treatment not available on the NHS.

Mycancerdrugs will pay for drugs like Avastin, which is used in treating bowel cancer, with up to £50,000 worth of benefits towards the cost. It has been developed following YouGov research that found nearly three quarters of those surveyed would be willing to pay for extra cancer care.
