A new income protection (IP) quote service, designed to save time and make it easier for advisers to submit new business electronically, is to be launched on The Exchange's Exweb portal, writes Kirstie Redford.
The enhanced service will enable advisers to transfer client data from the quote service into electronic application forms and submit the information directly to product providers.
The system automatically validates these forms before they can be submitted reducing the number of errors. Upon submission providers can start processing the applications almost immediately.
Once client data has been entered, advisers can also switch to quotation services for other products without having to re-enter the data.
Charlie Musson, spokesperson for ExWeb, said: 'This new quote service is part of our on-going commitment to develop Exweb in line with IFAs' business needs.'
The new service will go live by the end of April.
