He steps down as UK insurance CEO and director from today

The Board of Aviva and Andy Briggs have agreed that he will remain with the Group until 23 October 2019. His decision to depart follows the recent appointment of Maurice Tulloch as Aviva CEO in March.  Briggs joined the Board of Aviva in April 2015 after the acquisition of Friends Life where he was group chief executive. As well as leading the insurer's UK life business, he has worked alongside the Association of British Insurers (ABI) and the Government Business Champion for Older Workers.
