Hypertension (HTN or HT), also know as high blood pressure (HBP), is a long-term medical condition in which the blood pressure in the arteries is persistently elevated. The condition is common in today's world and most people will know someone who is being treated for the condition. The number of people in the UK with high blood pressure continues to rise.
