The history of awareness campaigns in the protection industry is not a long or distinguished one; says Peter Le Beau.

In fact one could say it's almost non- existent! How much that matters to people may determine whether it is ever possible to change that situation. It certainly doesn't seem to matter to a government who use 'The Resilient Society' as a passing buzz phrase but retreat further and further every year from making that aim a reality as the austerity programme takes greater hold.
