Complaints against financial advisers fell 7% in the first six months of 2017, according to figures from the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS). Sesame retained its spot as the most complained-about advice firm.
The FOS received 966 new complaints relating to advice firms between 1 January and 30 June 2017 - down from 1,044 in the second half of 2016. The latest figure was also down on the 1,189 complaints over the corresponding period in 2016.
