Back in the day nothing delighted advisers more than attending seminars, conferences and exhibitions. Let me quickly explain that this was not because but despite the stupefying boredom induced by the occasional puffed-up ‘expert' speakers wrapped up in their microcosmic niche areas. The actual reason for attendance being the rich pickings that were to be had by accumulating goodies from the assorted insurer stands.
