The positive outlook for the year ahead

With 2017 now fully underway, there is a certain buzz in the world of protection, with progressive new initiatives underway and much to look forward to for the year ahead, write Swiss Re's Maxine Udall.

First up, there is the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and Department of Health joint Green Paper on work, health and disability.  The report sets out the Government's 10-year vision to halve the disability employment gap. Not an immediate plan for the short-term I might hear you say, but we all know, Rome wasn't built in a day. The tone of the Green Paper is what is most encouraging.
