Instead of 'deckchair shifting', the ABI should tidy up confusion around critical illness condition definitions

For some time I have been critical of the Association of British Insurers (ABI). Firstly it was their bizarre appetite for designing ‘simple products', courtesy of the ill-thought out Sergeant Review. Then we had the ABI's Critical Illness Working Party. One reason for censure is that unlike some years back there is not any adviser representation. Involving the very people responsible for marketing policies seems to me an essential component of a successful design/distribution process. ...
