Closing window for cheaper women's life insurance - Scot Prov

clock

Scottish Provident is urging advisers to assess female client's protection needs ahead of the EU Gender Directive's implementation.

The provider also announced it has repriced some of its life insurance products for women.

Scottish Provident has launched a campaign, leading up to the 21 December deadline, highlighting the shrinking window of opportunity before gender neutral pricing forces up the price of life insurance for women.

It calculated that women will face an increase of up to 15% for life insurance as prices equalise and women start to pay the same price as men.

Roger Edwards, Proposition Director at Scottish Provident said: "It's a simple message to get across, buy now or pay more later, prices won't be this cheap again."
