LifeQuote adds Unum to Service

LifeQuote, the protection portal owned by Direct Life & Pension Services (DLPS), has added Unum’s Income Protection plan to its service.

Neil McCarthy, Sales and Marketing Manager at DLPS commented: "We are trying to encourage advisers that use LifeQuote to deliver a broader range of Protection solutions to their customers and another IP player will give advisers more choice."

LifeQuote delivers a quote and apply service where DLPS provides full process support for the advisers. The company said Unum were chosen for its strong income protection plan and a reputation for delivering quick decisions..

Linton Penman, Head of Retail Sales and Marketing at Unum, said: "We know that many Advisers have in the past been turned off income protection because of the apparent complexity of the product and lengthy underwriting processes. Our aim is to provide Advisers with a top quality product with no standard exclusions, backed up by exceptional service and rapid underwriting.

Unum will be live on the LifeQuote portal with effect from 15th April.
