Removal of Bupa PMI products is disappointing - AMII

clock

Bupa's withdrawal from the broker channel for individual PMI is disappointing, the Association of Medical Insurance Intermediaries (AMII) has said.

It said in a statement today the move would "undoubtedly" have an effect on the majority of AMII members and their clients.

AMII added that given the current financial climate the need for independent advice on PMI had never been greater.

Wayne Pontin, chairman of AMII, said: "AMII has brought forward its next executive meeting with this matter at the top of the agenda and we will endeavour to arrange an urgent meeting with Bupa to clarify the situation."

AMII members can comment on the contact page at www.amii.org.uk.
