Charles Dickens' novel ‘Oliver Twist' reflects on finding examples of good in troubled times, writes Peter Hamilton, head of market engagement at Zurich. Focusing on our own industry in the context of so much happening in the outside world might seem parochial, but I do believe we are a force for good. What might we ask for more of in 2024? Here are just a few thoughts.

More flexible products More than ever our lives are not linear and simple, if they ever were. There are twists and turns and we need products that can adapt more easily to those - we should be able to add and take away features and benefits as our lives change. From a Zurich perspective, that thought has driven the redesign of our critical illness proposition in 2023.
