Many of the life issues faced by employees are not simple. Traditional workplace solutions fall short of what the real needs are of the employee. Money worries can overlap health issues, which can overlap anxiety and in some cases trigger mental health problems. The employee assistance programmes (EAPs) basic offering just doesn't go deep enough to support the complex needs of many employees. EAPs typically offer counselling and low level practical advice on finance and simple questions. While in theory these services should be improving the overall wellbeing of UK workers, do they?
