Research from Towergate Health & Protection has found that less than one third of employers (27%) consider added benefits as an important factor in terms of implementing a health and wellbeing support programme.

Employees, and even employers themselves, are often unaware of all the elements of particular benefits, Towergate noted, although added benefits still represented the top third most important factor for employers. Towergate surveyed 500 HR-decision makers and found affordability (38%) and flexibility (32%) were the most important factors for employers in a health and wellbeing support programme.
