Employers missing the mark when providing support to women returning to work, research finds

While three quarters (74%) of women intend to return to same employer following a career break, a quarter (24%) change company before returning because the workplace environment no longer suits their needs, research recruitment firm Robert Walters has suggested. Undertaken as part of a guide for employers titled Attracting & Engaging Women Returning to the Workforce, the research, which surveyed 4,500 female professionals, also found that half of women (53%) who took maternity leave felt they were disadvantaged when they returned and, as a result, 58% of mums have moved into a ‘family fr...
