Allianz partners with Medibank in Australia

Allianz Worldwide Care has partnered with Medibank to provide cover for expatriates based in Australia.

The partnership with Australia's largest provider of PMI will enable the international health insurer to offer a range of fully compliant healthcare plans to its group clients who have expatriate members based in Australia on Resident or Working visas.

Claude Daboul, director of sales, marketing and operations at Allianz Worldwide Care, said: "This partnership is part of our overall strategy to provide a truly global healthcare solution for our multinational clients with staff based in multiple continents.

"This partnership with Medibank will also offer significant benefits to members based in Australia.

"They will have access to the largest private medical network in the country, with the convenience of direct settlement facilities for both in-patient and out-patient treatment."

George Savvides, Managing Director of Medibank added "Members can avail of our Mi Health initiative which offers access to a telephone-based nurse 24/7, personal support when in hospital, an online health hub and mobile health apps for smart-phones."
