Private Healthcare Information Network publishes data on number of procedures treated and average length of patient stay

A total of 5,000 consultants, responsible for an estimated 50% of admitted private healthcare in the UK, have been working with Private Healthcare Information Network (PHIN) and hospitals to check and publish data regarding their private practice. PHIN has confirmed that more than 1,000 consultants have completed the transparency process, following a market investigation by the Competition and Markets Authority which required more information on the performance of private hospitals and consultants to be made public.
