Metlife appoints new EBC director Matthews as Gaynor's successor

MetLife has appointed Adrian Matthews as UK Employee Benefits Director to lead the continued expansion of its employee benefits business.

The previous employee benefits director Tom Gaynor had left Metlife in April to become an associate consultant at PEN Partnership. He had worked at Metlife since 2011 and was promoted to employee benefits director in 2013.  With effect from 1 June, Matthews will be responsible for driving "ambitious growth plans." Matthews has been with MetLife for six years in the role of Chief Financial Officer and has over 20 years' experience in the financial services industry.
