Protection industry negativity 'like Clinton and Trump'

SCOR's Roy Chapell has compared the UK protection industry's attitude to the way US presidential candidates Clinton and Trump have spent most of the campaign criticising each other rather than saying what they are going to do to benefit America.

Chappell's remarks were contained in a recent white paper launched by the Protection Review which summarised the key debates from the recent Protection Review Summit.  He asked whether the protection distribution model was broken, not the product. Chappell questioned whether the UK industry spends "too much time criticising our own products?" He went onto say: "The biggest crime of our industry is all those people in this country who don't have any cover - whether it's income protection, critical illness cover or life insurance.
