Adviser firm Charles Derby Group has said it is intending to grow 'aggressively' in 2015 by hiring a significant number of protection advisers.
Kevin Burnham, protection director at Charles Derby Group, said the firm would be equally looking to take on more experienced advisers as well as those new to the industry.
He said: "One of the things we're looking at doing in 2015 is recruiting. We're looking at bringing in new blood this year - we have the Charles Derby Academy, through which we train new advisers.
"We're looking at growing aggressively this year from the 400 adviser mark to around 600 advisers. Some of that has to be new blood. We will be happy if half to two-thirds of those are experienced advisers and a third are new to the industry."
He also said the firm would be honing its focus in business protection during 2015 with the intention of building a specialist business.
Burnham said: "A big thing this year will be helping our advisers provide advice on the business protection market - looking more at things like relevant life policies and Group schemes. We took 110 of our guys through a training programme and now want to take it onto the second phase."
