An adviser who helped his customer negotiate a difficult settlement on an old protection policy has been specially recognised at Legal & General's 2012 Business Quality Awards.
Mike Rees from Mansfield Begbie won the Special Recognition award for his determination to help his client negotiate a settlement on a policy neither he nor his former employer knew was still in force.
Other winners included Thameside Associate, which took home an Outstanding Performance award for their low lapse rate and top customer performance and Top Quote and Assured Futures for Best Reinstatement Performance.
Legal & General group risk executive director John Pollock said: “Customers who do not keep their policy are obviously losing critical benefits for them and their families.
“Many of our advisers and IFA’s have told us that our focus on retention and the services and support we offer have significantly helped them grow their business and benefited their customers.”
