Assureweb launches protection app for Android

Assureweb has launched a protection comparison app for advisers using Android phones.

It enables comparison of real-time rates for term assurance products from ten providers.

The App will provide quotes for level term assurance, decreasing term assurance or family income benefit; for single or joint lives.

It is integrated with Assureweb's portal, has a secure login and displays the panel of providers.

Mark Wilson, director of marketing at Assureweb, said: "Our aim was to make mobile technology accessible to financial advice firms across the UK.

"The majority of advisers told us they wanted an iPhone App, which we launched last year. The next logical step was to go down the Android route."

The free Android App is available on Google Play. The launch follows AssureWeb's iPhone app offering last year.
