Comparison site launches STIP channel

A short-term income protection channel has been launched by MoneySupermarket.com.

It will offer a panel of insurers for online purchase of accident, sickness and unemployment cover and comparison tools.

It will include question sets without medical queries and access to information before purchase.

Emma Walker, protection expert at MoneySupermarket, said: "The payment protection insurance mis-selling scandal has left many consumers without suitable financial security, but for little a month STIP will meet financial needs should someone have an accident, become ill or lose their job."

The website worked with Collinson Insurance Group to develop the STIP channel.
