As the first of a series of improvements, Universal Provident (UP) has added a employee assistance programme (EAP) and a care advisory service to its group PMI plan, Choices Corporate.

The EAP, a workplace focused programme for identification and resolution of employees' concerns which may affect, their performance, is available with up to six face to face counselling sessions for 49p per month, per member.

Support+ is a confidential and independent care advisory service provided by qualified and experienced nurses. This also costs just 49p per month, per member.

Dale Tranter, assistant group underwriting manager at Universal Provident, said: "These enhancements, with more to come later in the year, underpin our commitment to the Group PMI market.

"We believe these competitively priced enhancements, together with an already strong product, add up to a proposition that increasing numbers of advisers will want to recommend".
