Friends Prov enhances CI offering

clock • 1 min read

Friends Provident is adding mastectomy cover and five new ABI+ conditions to its critical illness (CI) product.

The five additional ABI+ conditions are: heart attack; benign brain tumour; coronary artery by-pass grafts; heart valve replacement or repair and coma.

These additions have also been extended to its children's CI product at no extra cost.

The provider now has seven ABI+ conditions including aorta graft surgery and third degree burns.

It will also pay out 20% of the client's sum assured or £15,000, whichever is less, in the event of a total mastectomy to treat a carcinoma in situ of the breast.

This additional cover will not reduce the original sum assured should the client need to make a further claim.
