The old adage says: "Never let the truth get in the way of a good story." That may not do any harm when you are explaining how you survived a near death experience on your way home from the pub (slipped on the pavement), or how you were mistaken for Bradley Cooper/Catherine Zeta Jones (delete as appropriate) the last time you were in London.
