Medicash and April UK will be joining the other AMII Corporate Members at the AMII Summit 2014, taking place on 25 November 2014, at the QEII Conference Centre, London.

Specialist healthcare intermediaries can attend this event without charge by contacting AMII.

Isaac Lam, marketing manager, April UK said: "We are delighted to become corporate members of AMII. In the medical insurance industry, with the challenges that we face, it's important that insurers and intermediaries work hand in hand to develop relevant services and grow the industry. AMII provides a great platform to do this and we look forward to meeting members throughout the year at their events."

Sue Weir, chief executive at Medicash, said: "AMII plays an important role in promoting and maintaining industry standards and we strongly believe in effective partnerships and collaboration. We are therefore very pleased to have joined as corporate members and look forward to working closely with AMII and supporting their activities."

Wayne Pontin, AMII Chairman, said: "As AMII enters its second year of offering Corporate Membership, the inclusion of Medicash and April UK proves that AMII's Corporate Membership proposition continues to gather momentum with the healthcare providers.

"We are now up to 14 Corporate Members and in advanced stages of negotiations with others who are looking to join in 2015. Corporate members appreciate the access that AMII membership gives them to the specialist healthcare intermediary channel, and are committed to working with AMII to improve standards across the healthcare insurance sector."

AMII recently revealed to COVER that the trade body is in talks to include protection insurers as corporate members.
