Global software firms Agencyport and UST Global have partnered to launch a global underwriting system for health insurers.

OPEN Core Platform: Health is a multi-currency, multi-lingual system for global underwriting, accounts and claims.

The software will be made available to both the domestic private medical insurance (PMI) and international medical insurance (IPMI) markets.

Steve Westley, director of health at Agencyport said the software was built in to provide a solution to the "global market opportunity."

Mark A. Jardin, vice president of Global Health Group, UST Global added the software would fill a gap in the PMI and IPMI markets, as "there are limited opportunities to deliver a truly global solution to insurance companies."
